Grandparents day is Sept. 8th. I wanted to share a gift idea I am really excited about. It was very quick, easy, and inexpensive! My favorite kind of project. It’s a GREAT gift for those grandparents in your life.
I saw one of these for sale on one of the deal sites (sorry I can give the right credit to who did it) and thought that would be so cute to make.
I’ll show you how easy it was.
You will need a 2 x 4- mine is 16 inches and holds 6 pictures
paint
scrapbook paper
clothespins
washi tape
Mod Podge
Vinyl or stickers
pictures
Begin by painting your wood.
While the paint is drying cover your clothespins with washi tape. This is a great project for all the washi tape you buy and haven’t used. Is it really only me who does that?
Measure your paper. You will have to piece it together and Mod Podge it onto your 2 x 4.
I cut my vinyl out with my handy Silhouette machine. I started out with a blue and green vinyl and it didn’t show up so I switched to black. Once cut I placed the vinyl on my board. Note: If you don’t have a machine that cuts vinyl you could always use stickers.
I eyeballed the placement by adding my pictures to my clothespins and laying them out on top. I hot glued them into place once I had them where I wanted them.
I LOVE how it turned out and I’m proud to display my grandkids!
This project could also be altered for any holiday, birthday or any other time you would need a small gift.
If you need some more vinyl project ideas you can find 20 here.
