DIY Halloween Wall Art

I found this frame at Michaels for $7.99 and I had a coupon for 40% off and I knew I wanted to do a piece of Halloween wall art.  I thought it would be really cool to use the glitter paper that they sell at Michael's and cut the words and pumpkin out of cardstock.  So I bought all my supplies.

First step is to paint the frame.  I chose purple.

I  thought I'd use foam board for the backing so I cut a old piece to fit.

I cut the glitter paper to the right size.  I had to piece two pieces together.  I glued the paper to the foam board and then glued the foam board to the frame.

I then cut my words and pumpkin from my silhouette machine and glued them to the orange paper.

There you have it a piece of art for $10.00.  The possibilities for this project are endless.  You could do this for any holiday as well with all different types of paper.  You could even use wrapping paper so you didn't have to piece the paper together.  I'm always on the hunt for fun wrapping paper. Let your mind go... you might be impressed with what you come up with!
