Do you need to install solar panels?

May 2, 2021 By Barb Camp 1 Comment

Many people believe that solar panels have to be installed onto your home to gain the bliss of solar energy. Not true. There is a new trend of homeowners, signing up to get solar power without needing to do any of that. But there is a deeper economical benefit to the world that needs to be explored from this. You might be thinking that not putting solar panels on your home is the opposite of green. However, you can still do this, it’s just not needed. Let’s take a look at what is going on.

Shared solar farms

These sound just like they are. They are solar panels that have been erected in large farms. This is mainly done on land which is not being used for growing food one presumes. However, the flatness of the land, allows for the solar panels to shift as the sun moves in the sky. This is something that cannot be done on roofs. Your solar panels on your roof will only be hit with sunlight for a brief window. However, solar farms can rotate their fields of panels to have more sunlight be collected. You can sign up here if you think this is something you would like to experience. Solar power comes to your home, rented apartment, or to your business even.

Why is this happening?

Second Chance to Dream: Do you need to install solar panels?

Farmers are using solar panels to provide energy for their own needs. This may be to harness more energy to grow crops indoors or perhaps just use areas that they don’t need to grow crops, to power their homes. The idea might have spread from there and more and more farmers are giving their unused space to solar farms. The great thing is, this power is being delivered to homes that aren’t even in rural areas. This implies that their power delivery techniques have improved. They must be storing their energy locally which allows them to give you the power to power your home. They have built their own infrastructure which has allowed them to give this power to those that rent as well. So if you’re in a city, and there’s not a single solar panel near you, you could still be getting clean green sustainable energy this way.

What are the implications?

For one thing, you don’t have to install solar panels onto your own home. This saves you a lot of installation fee money. And, panels that may only last for a few years in technology, will need to be replaced. However, the company that has the shared solar farms, does their own updating and uses their own money to improve the technology they use. Inevitably, this could mean that every home could have solar power energy, without solar panels on the roof.

Solar panels are expensive to install, but this doesn’t have to be the case. You can just use shared solar farms instead and they don’t need you to do anything.

Thank you for sharing this information! Yes, solar energy is an excellent option for areas with no electricity. By the way, using solar energy has many advantages over using electricity: it's a renewable source, and the extraction of this type of energy has less impact on the environment.
