At Home Mongolian BBQ

May 27, 2014

I’m excited to share with you today a recipe that my family  makes once a week.  We LOVE it!  It’s At Home Mongolian BBQ.  It’s perfect because you can use whatever veggies and meat you have on hand. But before I show you the recipe, I need to introduce you to my newest granddaughter!
 Bayleigh Drew Camp born 5/20/14
Isn’t she a doll baby? She belongs to my son Chris and daughter in law Marcy. I can’t wait to kiss her chubby cheeks next month when they come home from Atlanta.  I’m pretty sure this At Home Mongolian BBQ will be on our menu.  Let me show you how we make it.

Have you ever ate at a Mongolian BBQ?  It is a restaurant that allows you to choose your own meats, veggies and sauces and then stir fry’s them for you.  This is how we do our At Home Mongolian BBQ.
Chop your veggies.  I use whatever I have on hand and what’s  in season.  For this meal we used:
water chestnuts
broccoli
asparagus
mushrooms
peppers
onions
bean sprouts
baby corn
zucchini
I also use whatever meat I have on hand.  We had Jim’s brother up from FL so I splurged and bought shrimp.  We used:
Kielbasa
shrimp
chicken
beef
Boil a box of noodles and drain when done.  Noodles are optional but my boys LOVE them in it.
Get your wok out and heat up your oil and saute your garlic.
Add your choice of meat when garlic is done. Cook your meat until done.
Add your veggies and noodles .  Cook until tender.
Add your sauces.  Here’s where we get creative.  We LOVE Buffalo Wild Wings and we buy their sauces for our Mongolian BBQ.  Our favorites are Asian Zing, Honey BBQ, Spicy Garlic, Thai Curry and Jammin’ Jalapeno.  You can use teriyaki  sauce, BBQ sauce, soy sauce.  There are lots of different kinds of sauces in the condiment aisle.
Saute  for a couple minutes and then dip up and enjoy!
This meal is one you will not have any complaints because each person chooses what they want to eat.  This is also pretty healthy.  Leave out the noodles and you have a Clean Eating meal.  Enjoy!
