Welcome to Christmas Trees on Parade hosted by, Terri @ChristmasTreeLane. I’m here to show you my Christmas tree and share a tip with you! Then you can check out the other trees and tips and hopefully find one that will inspire you!

For years (40 to be exact) I’ve had a tree decorated with the sentimental decor, instead of a perfectly coordinated Pinterest tree. We have very strong Christmas traditions at our home so a sentimental tree always trumps my dream for a coordinated themed tree. To solve that problem I bought a tree for my den this year. One I can decorate any way I want to. I hopped online Oriental Trading and picked out some coordinating decor that I loved. I chose the Nordic line because I love the simplicity and bright colors.

Don’t you just love Nordic design?

Here is what I get to stare at every day when I sit in the den and drink my morning coffee.

I had a lot of fun decorating the tree with my new ornaments.
Tip: Create a tree you and your family love, even if it’s not the perfect Pinterest tree. I really do love my sentimental tree and I’m very grateful to have a family I can decorate it with.
