Fall Fun Link Party + Sweater Pumpkin Tutorial

Today I'm hosting my very first Link Party!!   I'm working with a couple fellow bloggers and we will be sharing the link fun.

Before we get started I'd like to share some of my Fall Decor. I'm sharing today how to make a very inexpensive set of sweater pumpkins.

I popped in to my local Goodwill and while there I ran across this sweater.

My mind went immediately to the sweater pumpkins that I have seen around blog land.  I knew I HAD to buy it.  But what could I use underneath it that would give it a good shape and not cost a lot of money?   I browsed the store and ran across these gaudy pumpkin buckets and thought that might be the perfect thing.  The price was right, .99.  That's my kind of price!

I bought the sweater and two buckets in different sizes.
I came home and got to work. I cut the strap off the bucket and I cut the sides of the sweater and then cut the arms off.

I then sat the pumpkin in the middle of the sweater and gathered it up around the top and wrapped a rubber band around it to hold it in place.

From there I embellished it with raffia, fabric leaves and added a stick for the stem.

Some nice festive, inexpensive fun to my outside.  I will be posting my other outdoor decor soon, from the inspiration I received while writing my 12 Fall Decorated Porches post.

OK, Let's get this Party started!!
